My favorite novel is The adventures of Tom Soya by Mark Twain.Tom lives with his aunt Polly in the quiet streets of St Peterburg,Missouri.He's a lively and clever young boy,and he finds himself in many exciting adventures . He runs away with his two friends, Hunk Finn and Joe,to an island in the middle of the Mississippi River for several days.With Hunk he goes looking for treasure,with Becky he gets lost in a cave.and finally,they find a box of gold.My favorite scene in the book is when everyone thinks Tom is dead.He decides to go to his own funeral .He hides and watches for a time,and then suddenly he appears.Everyone is surprised to see him but they're also pleased to see him alive.
The themes of the story are to do with children growing up and becoming more serious. It describes how stranges are seen in small towns of America. Finally,it talks about freedom,social rules and how people are punished for bad behavior. This book teaches me a lot,and I like it very much.

My favorite novel is Around the World in Eighty Days which is written by Jules Verne. The author
was born in France and devoted himself to literature and wrote several scientific romances,
which gained him the name—Father of Modern Science Fiction.
This is a book of science fiction which tells us an exciting story about an English gentleman, Mr. Phileas Fogg, who makes a bet with his clubmates and manages to travel around the world in eighty days. It gives us a vivid description of the many difficulties and incidents which happen on hisjourney.
From this story, we can see the author's deep love for the sea, travel and adventure, which played a vital role in his life. We are also astonished and convinced by his fertile imagination and scientific and geographical knowledge.

My favourite book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.This book was written by a famous American writer Mark Twain.I love this book,because the characters of the book are very lovely and clever.Tom was a very naughty boy and always played tricks with his aunt Polly.Becky was a lovely girl who was always behaving bold.They revolted against the school and their society.They ran away and began their own adventure.I love this book.It has wonderful plots and the words are easy to understand,too.You would like it!

This will be a long story for me to read this book. First time I touched this book is when I was 5 years old. My mother bought it to me as my 5-years-old gift. This is a really wonderful present to me,which is opening a history gate to me , a totally innocent boy. I almost forgot the dinner after I read the first page. From then on, I was the historist in my class and showed my knowledge from that book to my classmeates. When I became older and older, I knew more about it and feel more confident about my own China. I am proud that I am a Chinese and I will make more effort to build a more powerful country and let Chinese history more brilliant.
As me, this is the most important book in my life and now I still read it and recite some part of it. I think everyone should read it and get this wonderful experenice.
